What is in the bag? Each day over 2000 bags will be filled with fruit, popcorn, crackers, and cookies. The bags will then be delivered each day with a hot item like a taco, corn dog, pizza, or burrito. All of the food in the bag is bought fresh so it can be prepared quickly and in a uniform fashion.
Who receives the bag? The bags are loaded into six different trailers and delivered to the neighborhoods that Citychurch ministers in. The lunch is usually met with a smile and excitement from the child who receives it. The children who receive the lunch begin to look forward to it and depend on it.
Satisfying the Greater Hunger... A lunch will feed a child for the day, but we have so much more to offer that child through The Hope Of Jesus Christ. Each week different neighborhoods are picked up for a Bible School in Tol Ware Park At Citychurch. They play games, do crafts, and are taught stories from the Bible. Citychurch along with the help of volunteers will hold Bible schools in the park this summer and minister to over 1000 children. The Greater Need for Food...This Summer Citychurch will deliver over 2000 lunches a day to hungry kids. People just like you will give the money that it takes to fill each of the 94,600 bags. Just $1.50 is all it takes to fill one bag, so if you give $15 you can help feed ten children for one day. It's that simple.
